The policy adds a line against sustained and needless abusive or cruel behavior toward Anthropic's models, and its general clause lets Anthropic warn, throttle, limit, suspend or terminate access over a suspected violation.
The twist
Anthropic's announcement says Claude's ability to end these interactions will remain the primary enforcement mechanism, that the rule does not apply to common frustration, pushback, dark creative themes or model testing and research, and that the policy takes effect on November 12. The Verge reports Anthropic gave no comment on whether user bans would follow.
