    Apple Intelligence's news notification summaries fabricated headlines, including one falsely claiming a murder suspect had shot himself, after the BBC flagged repeated errors. Apple did not disable the feature for betas until roughly a month after the pattern of mistakes was first reported, rather than pulling it as soon as the first error surfaced.

    Apple runs a standing bug bounty on Private Cloud Compute, its AI server system, publishes the software images for outside inspection and gives researchers access to live nodes in research mode. A researcher who found a way to exfiltrate user request data out of the system's trust boundary was paid $150,000 under that program.
