576 unique source URLs on file. Before a story can publish, every receipt URL answered a live HTTP check, every quote was matched against the source text, and every number was traced to a receipt (scripts/verify-issue.py). A story failing any of those was blocked at the gate. Links are re-swept nightly; a link that dies after publish is flagged on the next sweep, not silently kept.
